Bio : Torture Wheel was formed in late 2002 by E.M. Hearst as a side-project to Wraith of the Ropes. It is similar musically and in atmosphere to WOTR, but focuses more strictly on creating extreme Funeral Doom and, unlike WOTR, it has no Electronic elements.

The project was spawned from a desire to create the most uncompromisingly slow and heavy form of music possible, and it draws equal inspiration from both Funeral and Drone Doom, with vague elements of both Dark Ambient and experimental noise music.
