.: THE NULLL COLLECTIVE - EMH :.

Bio ::
E.M. Hearst (aka: Adam Hearst) has been involved in the underground Funeral Doom scene since 2001 when Wraith of the Ropes were formed. This band didn't receive any attention until several years later due to it's slow writing and recording processes. WOTR's first release didn't appear until 5 years into the band's history.

A year after WOTR's formation, near the end of 2002, Hearst started his own solo project, 'Torture Wheel', which immediately become more well-known and more respected than WOTR in the extreme Doom underground due to a prolific string of split releases, compilation appearances, and finally a full release ("Crushed Under...") through 'Firebox Records' in 2004.

It was during this time period that Hearst aligned himself with Stijn Van Cauter. They formed the extreme Funeral/Drone Doom duo 'The Sad Sun' in 2004 and have released mainly sporadic compilation tracks since. This band is where the seeds for 'The NULLL Collective' were planted.

After years of work, 'Wraith of the Ropes' finally released their debut ("Ada") via 'Totalrust Records' on Halloween 2005. The album was well received by Doom fans and media alike. This, along with his bandmate's promise to become more productive, encouraged Hearst to devote more time to WOTR and abandon most of his own projects - 'Torture Wheel' disbanded in early 2006 as a result.

WOTR followed it's album with a self-released EP in 2005 called 'The Red Door' and immediately began working on their second album "Demonic Influence". Sadly, the promise of increased productivity within the band was broken. 5 years have passed without a new release... "Demonic Influence" has been mostly finished since 2007, but may well sit for eternity in limbo and never see the light of day.

Since 2005, besides completing his part of the unfinished and unreleased 'Demonic Influence' album, Hearst has been mostly dormant in the Doom scene. His energy has been focused on other forms of music, mostly Industrial and Death Metal.

'Neo Hizumi', Hearst's Electronic-Industrial project, began in 2006, but managed to release only a single demo entitled ("Demo N"). Due to lack of interest, 'Neo Hizumi' was destroyed and rebuilt as 'Synaptic Fracture' in late 2008. This project is a perfect amalgamation of cold late-80's-inspired Electro-Industrial and brutal Death Metal.

With 'Wraith of the Ropes' seemingly frozen in perpetual stasis, 'Synaptic Fracture' is now E.M. Hearst's main project. SynFra's debut album ("The Lunatic Transmissions") is finished and set to be released sometime in 2010.

2010 also sees Hearst returning to extreme Doom with the international Funeral/Drone Doom group 'The NULLL Collective'. 'The Collective' isn't so much a band as it is a cult of like-minded artists from around the world who have banded together to create and release uncompromising Doom online via a digital download series called "The NULLL Infra".
